An NST Laboratory event
26 May, 2018
NST Laboratory presents
Lots of theatre pretends the audience aren't there.
This workshop starts from the assumption that they always are, and can participate directly in what's happening. That doesn't necessarily mean highly interactive performance - although we'll look at that too. Drawing on techniques derived from clowning, stand-up comedy and storytelling, this workshop looks simply and directly at making theatre which is always present and responsive to its audience.
Whether or not the techniques make their way into your own work, the resulting intense liveness can be of benefit to theatre of all sorts. Also, it'll be fun.
