Box Office Supervisor

Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) is at an exciting time of transition. In 2017 NST will launch its new NST City venue in the heart of Southampton, which it will run alongside its existing theatre on the University of Southampton campus.

To support the growth of the company, NST is now recruiting for a Box Office Supervisor. This role is responsible for assisting with the managing of day to day box office operation, including the management, administration, training and development of the box office team, and ensures the highest level of service to all customers, in conjunction with the front of house team.

Assistant Directing Opportunity

We are looking for an assistant director for Samuel Hodges' upcoming production of The Shadow Factory written by Howard Brenton. This is a world premiere to open Southampton’s brand new theatre NST City.

The JMK Trust in partnership with Nuffield Southampton Theatres is offering an Assistant Director Bursary. The bursary is an arts scholarship, funded by the Leverhulme Trust that will provide a learning and training opportunity for a talented emerging director, based in the Hampshire/Wiltshire/West Sussex/ Dorset /Isle of Wight area who has demonstrated a commitment to directing and a passion for theatre making.

Bursary

The Leverhulme Bursary consists of £2,350. Expenses and travel costs will be covered by NST.

PA/Receptionist

To support the growth of the company, NST is now recruiting for a PA/Receptionist. This is a key administrative role, providing support for the Director and the Executive Director, being their first point of contact and ensuring smooth co-ordination of their working day. The postholder also acts as NST’s receptionist, ensuring that all arrivals at the building are welcomed and providing information and directions as required.

Youth Theatre Director

The Youth Theatre Director is a key position at NST and responsible for leading and delivering the highly influential NSYT (Nuffield Southampton Youth Theatre) programme. It requires a highly organised, engaging practitioner with the skills to direct up to three annual productions and, equally importantly, to deliver high quality weekly sessions throughout three terms a year.
