NST is a multi-award winning company, including Best Director UK Theatre Awards 2014 (The Seagull), Regional Theatre of the Year at The Stage Awards 2015, Best Design UK Theatre Awards 2015 (The Hudsucker Proxy), and the 2017 Renee Stepham UK Theatre Award for Best Presentation of Touring Theatre (Fantastic Mr Fox). In 2017 NST took on the running of NST City – the north building within Southampton’s new city centre arts venue known as Studio 144 – whilst continuing to run NST Campus, its existing 490 seater theatre based at the University of Southampton. NST City houses a 447 seat main house theatre, a 138 seat studio, screening facilities, rehearsal and education spaces and a café bar and bistro.
Extra Added is Nuffield Southampton Theatres’ Student Intern Programme aimed at giving students an opportunity to develop their skills and gain experience of working in a professional theatre company.
Extras will be responsible for promoting upcoming productions at NST, working together on campaigns to ensure maximum publicity and with members of the marketing department to come up with marketing campaigns and strategies. As an Extra at NST you will gain experience working in a professional producing theatre.

NST is now recruiting for a Head of Stage to join its busy Technical and Production department.
The Head of Stage is a key member of the technical team and is responsible for the safe and efficient running of the stage department for NST ensuring all productions and events are presented to the highest standard possible.
