NST City houses a 447 seat main house theatre, a 138 seat studio, screening facilities, rehearsal and education spaces and a cafĂ© bar and bistro.

HEAD OF PRODUCING & PROGRAMMING (FIXED TERM – 6 months)

Salary c£30,000 to £40,000 p.a. negotiable.

Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) is one of the UK’s leading professional theatre companies creating fresh, vital experiences through theatre. This role for an experienced producer and programmer offers you a wonderful opportunity to programme a high quality, relevant and income generating multi-artform presented programme and to manage the producing of NST Productions, co-productions and community work to the highest artistic standards while ensuring delivery within the parameters and budgets set.

You should have experience of working in a producing theatre, of programming mid-scale theatre and other art forms, management experience, budgeting and financial skills and experience of negotiating contracts. In addition, you will have excellent administrative, Word and Excel skills, will be able to work to tight deadlines, have a passion for theatre, a real team player, good at motivating and engaging others and be calm under pressure. 

In return, we offer a salary c£30,000 to 40,000 depending on experience and skills, a 35 hour working week, 25 days holidays pa plus Bank Holidays, Pension, theatre tickets, training and development opportunities. Graduate Marketing Assistant

Salary from c£15,000 p.a.

As a recent graduate with a good degree in Marketing or a Marketing-related Business course, we are offering a wonderful opportunity to put your degree in to practice in an exciting and dynamic company. Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) is one of the UK’s leading professional theatre companies creating fresh, vital experiences through theatre. NST has developed a profile and reputation for innovation and quality delivering work on a national and international scale, whilst acting as a major cultural force for good in the city of Southampton. 

This role sits in the Development and Communications team whose mission is to place audiences at the heart of everything NST does. The Graduate Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the team in delivering the campaigns as part of NST’s Development & Communications Strategy.

We will provide on the job training and experience with a highly motivated and passionate team of Marketing and Comms people. Key activities you will undertake will include supporting the team in designing and producing marketing materials, proof reading copy and liaising with external agencies and assisting in obtaining current artist biographies and photographs or publicity materials from the cast, creative teams and agents, ensuring permissions/ copyright is cleared prior to production.

You should have good copy writing skills with a high degree of accuracy and proof reading abilities, excellent communication skills, written and verbal with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, within and outside the organisation and a high level of IT skills (including Microsoft Office) and good organisational skills and attention to detail.

In return, we offer a salary c£15,000 plus depending on experience and skills, 35 hour working week, 25 days holidays pa plus Bank Holidays, Pension, theatre tickets, training and development opportunities.
