We are pleased to announce we have been awarded £5k of funding from the Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation.
The funding will support our community project Hometown; an initiative which focuses on placing the audience at the heart of everything we do. At NST City, Southampton’s newest flagship arts venue, we will make decisions informed by our audiences and, in turn, offer interactive opportunities for all.
“We are thrilled to have received £5k funding from The Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation towards our youth and community outreach programme Hometown.
“Hometown is our new holistic approach to working with people in the city, building towards creating work for our stages with our communities, representing local stories and creating access points to our work and our new venue for those in the city who need it most.” – Tracey Cruickshank, Community Engagement Producer
Hometown aims to engage communities across Southampton, from Shirley and Bevois Valley to Swaythling and Redbridge, in community panels, festivals of work, and performance opportunities. The local community is of total importance to NST and Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation’s generous funding with support the venue in celebrating those communities.
