An update from Nuffield Southampton Theatres regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
Following yesterday’s announcement by the Government and the continuing global public health crisis, we regret to announce that we are suspending all performances at Nuffield Southampton Theatres until 26 April 2020. Ticket sales are also suspended until further notice.
We will be working with our co-producers and visiting companies to endeavour to reschedule all the shows within this period. These are unprecedented times and, like you, we are responding in real time to a situation which is evolving every day.
Alongside the postponement of these shows we will also be re-configuring our Creative Programmes (which encompass an extensive range of community engagement, youth participation and artist development reaching over 24,000 annually).
If you or your child are involved in any of our engagement activities, you will be contacted directly by our staff to update on the latest state of play.
If you have bought a ticket for any show between now and the end of April, our Box Office staff will be in touch to discuss the rescheduled dates and opportunities for transferring the tickets to other shows.
In these difficult times, we are inviting our customers to consider donating the value of purchased tickets to the theatre. We appreciate your support and your understanding as we make decisions to support and protect each other as we navigate unchartered territory. If you would like to make a general donation to help the theatre survive, we would be extraordinarily grateful. Donate now
Please do continue to check the NST website and social media channels for daily updates on future performances. We will update customers as soon as we can.
We thank you for your understanding and support, as we put the interests of our staff, our artists and you our audiences at the heart of this decision. Please take care of yourselves and we hope to be able to welcome you back to our theatre very soon.
