Nuffield Southampton Theatres’ (NST) has announced a host of world premieres as part of its new 2018 season, which launches its new city centre venue, NST City, and continues at its original home, NST Campus.
The season includes Howard Brenton’s spitfire tale The Shadow Factory at NST City in February 2018, SS Mendi Dancing the Death Drill, a new version of Aristophanes’ comedy Women in Power and a new musical adaptation of David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy, among much more.
NST hosted two launch events on Wednesday 15 November announcing the news. Firstly, at Jerwood Space, London and then at NST City, Southampton, which marks the first time an event has been held inside of the new venue.
Invitees were treated to glasses of champagne and canapés while Sam Hodges spoke about the new season. Those at the Southampton event were also given a sneak peek inside NST City’s main house and restaurant and bar area, Tyrrells.
