Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) is looking for local and national stage managers, theatre technicians and production staff to work at its brand new performing arts venue, Nuffield Southampton Theatres City (NST City), on a freelance basis.
NST City will open on 16 February with the world premiere of Howard Brenton’s The Shadow Factory. The new venue includes a flexible 450 seat main house theatre, a 133 seat studio, screening facilities, and rehearsal and workshop spaces. NST City will transform NST’s ability to show high quality professional work from local, national and international artists, and expand its programme to include dance, film and music.
With a second venue and a growing programme, NST is looking to expand its database of skilled staff across both its studio and main house productions, specifically assistant, deputy, company and stage managers; dressers, wardrobe managers and costume supervisors; sound lighting and technical freelancers; and licensed chaperones.
Andrew Quick, director of production at NST, said: “2018 will be very exciting for us as we expand. We are looking for staff of all levels of experience who would like to be on our contact lists and be considered for work on our future NST productions.”
