Natalie left Christ’s College, University of Cambridge with a First in English Literature before joining the Royal Court as a Graduate Trainee. She was awarded the James Menzies-Kitchin Trust Award for Young Directors in 2005.
From 2007 to 2012 she was joint Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre, London, where her productions included: The Internationalists, How to be an Other Woman and The Kreutzer Sonatawhich later transferred to La MaMa, New York (‘... works smashingly as narrative theater. Every element here has been carefully orchestrated for maximal effect’ New York Times). Other directorial credits include: The Eleventh Capital (Royal Court), A Midsummer Night’s Dream(Headlong), After Miss Julie and Happy Days (Young Vic).
