This space can seat up to 500 depending on the seating and stage configuration and is ideal for larger scale conferences. The Main House can also be hired for use as a performance space, just give us a call and we can talk you though everything you’ll need to know.
The perfect venue for meetings, small scale conferences and functions, and extra break out space. Seating up to 30 in Theatre style, 20 board room style, and 60 for a standing reception, this room is flexible and intimate.
Our Café is a great space for receptions, talks, meals, and parties and has a fully licensed bar to boot. Whether it’s lunch for a conference of 150 or a baby shower, this space is flexible, light and airy. The Café is also equipped with lighting and sound equipment as well as black performance curtains so if it’s an intimate performance space you’re after then we have everything you need. In Theatre style the space can seat up to 60, for a standing reception we can hold up to 150, and for a seated meal we can accommodate up to 50.
Each hire will be given a personalised quotation based on the services required. We are able to provide a range of food and drink items where required, as well as a range of technical and presentation equipment including the hire of a digital projector. Later this year, Nuffield Southampton Theatres will take over a second venue, NST CITY, in Guildhall Square in Southampton’s city centre.
This state-of-the-art performing arts building situated in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter will comprise a flexible 450 seat Main House, a 135 seat Studio Theatre, a sprung-floor rehearsal space, workshop, rehearsal rooms and a bar and restaurant.
Work at NST City is still underway but please register your interest if you are thinking of booking a space at our City venue and we will make sure that you are first in line to hire some of the most exciting cultural spaces in the city centre.

Whether you are hiring a space for 10 people or for 100 we’ve got a menu choice for you. Our hospitality menus range from cold finger buffets right through to hot one pot dishes and desserts.
Our Café is open from 11.30am through until 2.30pm, so if you have a smaller room booking you may wish to simply order from our standard café menu on the day.
Alternatively, if you are looking for something specific that isn’t on our existing menus then please do give us a call to discuss your choice; our chef is always up for a challenge!
