Bungalow Café Festival Panel Discussion
Re-imaging the Bungalow Café for the 21st Century, join us and a group of exceptional women from the local area and further afield to discuss women and power.
This will be a panel discussion chaired by Jessica Hepburn (arts producer and adventure activist, https://www.jessicahepburn.com/) followed by a chance for the audience to ask questions and join in the conversation.
Making up our panel will be:
Councillor on Southampton City Council and Cabinet Member for Homes and Culture
Local visual artist working to explore art in the context of identity, gender and social equality
Local historian and regular contributor to television, radio and magazines
Chairwoman of the African Women’s Forum in Portsmouth and community organiser
Further panellists to be announced.
Bring your topics of debate, prepare your questions for the panel and each other, and be ready to enter into the spirit of the suffrage meetings of the Bungalow Café of the past as we explore the position of women and power today, socially and politically.
