Most grandmothers are lovely, kind, helpful old ladies. Not George’s Grandmother.

George’s Grandmother likes to gobble up slugs and bugs, and is always telling George what to do. But one day, George takes his chance and sets about creating a brand new medicine to cure her of her cruelty. Little does he know that his perilous potion will be the start of a rather marvellous adventure…

Following the success of Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Twits and The Witches, Curve’s magnificent new co-production with Rose Theatre Kingston promises to be yet another hugely imaginative and entertaining stage adaptation, bursting with growing grannies, feathery farm animals and bags of frothbuggling family fun.

Join us to see Roald Dahl’s treasured tale brought to phizz-whizzing life!

“An outstanding adaptation of Roald Dahl’s anarchic children’s classic.”

The Stage

“One hilarious, simply marvellous theatrical tonic and an utter Dahl-ing of a family show.”

East Midlands Theatre

“A marvellous concoction.”
