Seamas Carey is a man. A performing man.
He spends most of his time making sounds for people, (live & recorded) either for theatre, dance or silent film.
He has composed soundtracks, played live in productions, accompanied silent film, created sound design, been a puppeteer, conducted a choir, played in a cafe, performed on the street and looked after a record shop.
Although based in Cornwall, he's spent the last 7 years touring extensively throughout the UK, Europe and USA. He has regular relationships with companies such as Kneehigh and Wild Works but also frequently makes his own work, such as the show 'Seamas Carey Meets His 4 Year Old Self' which had the help of a 20 piece choir.
Other recent work includes: Hansel & Gretel (Cscape Dance), Causley On A Cart (Kneehigh), Wolf's Child (Wild Works), 946: The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips (Kneehigh), Ernie & The Sea Of Ice (Quirk Theatre), Neptunalia (Cscape Dance), Two Punks & A Tandem (Silly Boys), 100: The Day Our World Changed (Wild Works & The Lost Gardens Of Heligan).
He is dead chuffed to be spending Christmas with the Hetty family again, and to bask in the glorious orange glow of Luke Potter's beard!
