We want your input!

Do you enjoy theatre and live performance?

Do you want to have a say on what Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) does?

NST is creating a “Community Panel” to broaden the conversation around what we do, how we do it and who we do it for. This will be a great way to influence how and what NST makes, presents and promotes in its theatres.

What is NST’s Community Panel?

The Community Panel will be a collection of Southampton people from different communities, ages and backgrounds who come together and collaborate with our staff to help us shape our programmes and activities to make NST a theatre for the whole of Southampton.

The panel will revolve around a two-way conversation. We commit to listening to you and ensuring that your input plays a part in our decision making; in return, we ask for you to commit to building an understanding of how we work

What does NST Community Panel offer?

  • The chance to influence what we put on our stages;
  • A behind the scenes look at how theatre happens;
  • An opportunity to meet new people.

What do we need from you?

  • To hear what your community wants from NST;
  • Input into our shows, our marketing, how our building feels and anything else that will help us improve our offer;
  • A commitment of up to four meetings a year and coming and seeing our work (for free) to tell us what you think.

Who are we looking for?

We’re keen to hear from individuals who are:

  • Southampton residents;
  • interested in seeing NST thrive as a theatre for Southampton;
  • great at listening to others, and thinking about how it all comes together;
  • good at generating innovative and creative ideas;
  • open minded and respectful of others.

Travel and access costs will be met by NST.

We’re recruiting up until 17 September. If you think you might be interested in finding out more, or in applying to be a member, please contact Rosie Cooke via [email protected] or 02380 984502.
