This space can seat up to 500 depending on the seating and stage configuration and is ideal for larger scale conferences. The Main House can also be hired for use as a performance space, just give us a call and we can talk you though everything you’ll need to know.
The perfect venue for meetings, small scale conferences and functions, and extra break out space. Seating up to 30 in theatre style, 20 board room style, and 60 for a standing reception, this room is flexible and intimate.
Our Café is a great space for receptions, talks, meals, and parties and has a fully licensed bar to boot. Whether it’s lunch for a conference of 150 or a baby shower, this space is flexible, light and airy. The Café is also equipped with lighting and sound equipment as well as black performance curtains so if it’s an intimate performance space you’re after then we have everything you need. In theatre style the space can seat up to 60, for a standing reception we can hold up to 150, and for a seated meal we can accommodate up to 50.
Each hire will be given a personalised quotation based on the services required. We are able to provide a range of food and drink items where required, as well as a range of technical and presentation equipment including the hire of a digital projector. Nuffield Southampton Theatres opened a second venue, NST CITY, in Guildhall Square in Southampton’s city centre in February 2018.
This state-of-the-art performing arts building, situated in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter, comprises of a flexible 450 seat main house, a 135 seat studio theatre, a sprung-floor rehearsal space, workshop, rehearsal rooms, and a bar and restaurant.

Whether you are hiring a space for 10 people or for 100 we’ve got a menu choice for you. Our hospitality menus range from cold finger buffets right through to hot one pot dishes and desserts.
Our Café is open from 11.30am through until 2.30pm, so if you have a smaller room booking you may wish to simply order from our standard café menu on the day.

Nuffield Southampton Theatres City (NST City) is our newest theatre, located in Southampton city centre with easy access to Southampton Central Station.
With seating for 449 on two levels and a stage measuring 10m wide by 9m deep, the main theatre is our biggest space. The main theatre is a black box space which houses productions for most of the year, it may be possible to hold day time events over the top of productions.

The most versatile of our spaces, the Studio is a black box theatre which is suitable for conferences, performances, film nights, workshops and much more. With bleacher seating that can be pulled out to seat 133 or pushed in for a capacity of approximately 170 standing. Additional seating can be provided and laid out in any configuration on request.
The Studio Theatre is able to provide a greater level of technical elements including lighting and sound and projection onto a roll down screen. This must be discussed in further detail with the technical manager as a longer set-up time and additional staffing may be needed.

Light and bright during the day and delightfully atmospheric at night - with pendant lighting and Chesterfield sofas. Our City bar on the first floor has a capacity for up to 200 people. It is laid out with tables, chairs and sofas - which can be moved around the space on request. A PA system can be set up if required.
The bar stocks wines, beers, soft drinks and spirits and can be open for use by prior arrangement. This space is ideal for Jazz nights, parties and receptions.
Our modern and spacious rehearsal room boasts a mirrored wall, ballet barre and dance flooring - ideal for anything from recitals and workshops to fayres and of course, rehearsals. For a workshop or class event, capacity is a comfortable 25 but up to 50 is possible. For recitals or showings, seating can be laid out with a capacity of up to 60. There is a PA system in the space that can be used.
The rehearsal room is 11metres by 10metres and is situated on the second floor and has ample foyer space for audiences or drinks receptions. A pop up bar is available by arrangement in the foyer area.

Ideal for board meetings, the Barova room is light and airy with capacity for 16 comfortably around the table and up to 30 if necessary. The Barova room has four power sockets, a projector and bi-fold doors into the bar- this also makes the space suitable as an extension to the bar if needed.

A smaller room suitable for meetings, lectures and workshops, with a wall mounted white board. Tables and seating can be set out as required. Capacity is approximately 25 seated.
